OUR MISSION

KOMANN Consultants is a boutique Owners Representation firm providing independent, conflict-free project, program and development oversight for Owners who are undertaking transformational real estate and capital projects.

Our mission is to help Owners navigate the complexity of the development and construction process with confidence in schedule, budget, and quality outcomes. We only represent the Owners Interests - and as their advocate, advisor and boots on the ground - we ensure that every decision — budgetary, design, contractual, and operational — aligns with their Owner’s objectives, standards, and best interests. We take on the complexity so Owners can stay focused on what matters most — their business, their family, and their life.

We achieve this through strategic foresight, disciplined project controls, complete accountability, transparency and hands-on leadership. Because we have sat in the Owner’s seat ourselves, we lead with an Owner’s mindset — treating every decision, every dollar, and every detail as if it were our own.

James Mann, Principal

James is the Principal of KOMANN and a real estate development and construction executive with more than 14 years of experience in the UK and U.S. leading complex capital programs.

Over his career, he has supported and led teams delivering $1B+ in ground-up and interior buildout projects across commercial offices, education campuses, residential communities, industrial manufacturing facilities, data centers, retail, cultural spaces, and faith-based and nonprofit institutions. Strengthened by a background as a general contractor, institutional owner-side representative, and project management consultant for national and global firms, he brings a rare full-lifecycle perspective from early strategy through delivery, along with a deep understanding of how to navigate the project environment, build teams that coalesce around a shared vision, and keep client priorities at the center of every decision. James has represented globally recognized Fortune 100 and 500 companies, as well as high-net-worth investors and public agencies, and is trusted for his ability to simplify complexity, align stakeholders, and consistently drive outcomes in the owner’s best interest.

At KOMANN, James provides hands-on leadership, ensuring disciplined execution, transparent communication, and a relentless focus on client success. He drives a culture built on curiosity, proactive problem-solving, accountability, and collaboration — ensuring every project advances with clarity and confidence.

Outside of work, James is a family man who values time with his loved ones. He stays active through hiking with his pet Dobermans, playing football and is die-hard Manchester United FC supporter.

We are headquartered in Los Angeles, California, and operate nationwide based on client needs. Our strategic position in this dynamic hub, combined with international project experience, allows us to bring a global perspective to local delivery—leveraging both international best practices and regional insight.
